Abstract

Spelling and punctuation mistakes are frequent among university students and competent Spanish speakers. Orthographic attention paid
to students at third level must necessarily go through a process of personal orthographic reflection in which each student defines his/her
problems with written expression (errors in vocabulary and difficulties in punctuation), establishes the origin of the mistake (neglect, dialectic
speech, insufficient expressive vocabulary, rules etc.) and chooses the most effective dialectic resource.
