Abstract

A reflection is carried out on a selection of the albums discussed in the article “Thematic selection of illustrated albums for education in non
violence”. The content of the illustrations is analysed from the concept of the image as being communicative, complement and reference of the
text, and eventually with an autonomous meaning. The relevance of knowledge of the plastic code and the visual code is unveiled as well as the importance of its acquisition for mediators.
