Abstract

Social identity is built around continuous interaction with knowledge of the social and cultural environment in which the individual is inserted. The inclusive school, which considers that all pupils should have the same educational opportunities, must give an answer to this need to fully and completely educate and socialize all pupils and particularly, a very “special” kind of pupil who a priori, precisely lacks these communicative and social abilities which are so indispensable for attaining social identity and group belonging: we refer to ASD pupils (Autistic Spectrum Disorders) who are more and more present in our schools.

This article starts from a new perspective of Didactics of Social Sciences which at the same time arises from and is based on this new social and educational need, aspiring to be a practical tool which will be useful for teachers and other professionals dedicated to teaching and who need to intervene with this kind of pupils.
