The landscape of international litigation is changing. Two elements stand out: the setting up international commercial courts – or specialized chambers within the com-mon courts – which have proliferated in recent years, especially in some geographical areas; and the crisis of international arbitration, which manifests itself both at the insti-tutional level and in the discontent of users. This paper presents both trends together with preliminary assessment of the advantages and disadvantages of each dispute reso-lution mechanism.
