A border dispute between the United States and the United Kingdom, regarding the limits of jurisdictional water of Canada and Alaska, which the US bought to Russia and succeeded in rights, the fishing ships arrested by the United States, and the first ever consideration of environmental issues in the regulation of the catch of seals, are solved in a short arbitral award by a multinational tribunal of seven arbitrators at the end of the 19th century.
