Abstract

The problems of school life are present in most schools. This study analyzed the effect of a program to improve coexistence based on cooperative games, executive function and emotional intelligence. In addition, the correlation between the study variables were analyzed. A pretest-intervention-postest design was used, as well as a descriptive correlational one. 49 subjects in primary education (23 girls and 26 boys) were involved with a mean age of 10.87 years old (SD=0,63). The results support the efficacy of the intervention program, reducing the problems of coexistence. However, no total significant correlations can be established in relation to the executive function and emotional intelligence. It is concluded that the use of cooperative methodologies with children is a guarantee in reducing problems of coexistence in the classroom.
