Abstract

The social networks on Internet have become one of the most used forms of communication by children and young people. An excessive use can produce addiction and important psychological damage. However, if their use is adapted, the social networks can be a tool of great value in the educational area, since it becomes a new way of teaching and also of learning, in which the pupil will be able to develop important cooperative work. The pupils, and also the teachers need to take advantage of all the resources that the new technologies offer us, in such a way that the needs of the new generations may be attended: to promote cooperative learning, and to create a participative environment become new opportunities for growth at the personal and academic levels.
