Abstract

The conscious and systematic creation of the short short story in China, which appeared in the 80s of the last century, almost coincided with the same period of the Spanish short short story. It’s a new and independent genre, which is in vogue and now there is a lot of it on the Internet, above all in the social networks, for example, in Twitter.

Nowadays, the Tweet Writing and the Tweet Literature are very popular in the world. What a pity it is, for some reasons, it doesn’t work Twitter in our country. However, we always have something as substitution. Weibo, the Chinese Twitter, is the most used and welcomed among the people.

In Weibo, each message couldn’t have more than 140 hanzi (Chinese characters), which means that the short short story has to be very brief and concise. Likewise, it should keep the genre’s characteristics, especially being indispensable the narrative and the fiction. Therefore, it demands a careful creation and a writer with a pretty high level of narration and expression. In this article we will analize the short short stories of Weibo, discovering the similities which the genre offers respect to the Hispanic short short story. Also, we claim for the study of the popular creation’s wide space, in the side of the academic research.
