A study of the knowledge of the minors about the consequences of their actions in Social Media
Abstract
Social Media have opened up a world of possibilities for communication and personal development, although if they are used in an inappropriate way they are a potentially dangerous tool for those who are not aware of their enormous capacity. Minors, due to their characteristics from to their age and their moment of development, are a group that must be specially protected against these type of risks. This research analyses the knowledge that minors have about the existing legal regulations applicable to their actions in Social Media and, therefore, of the consequences that an incorrect use of them may have for them. For this purporse, a Delphi methodology is carried out with experts on the topic and two focus groups with minors, in order to obtain the data that allow made this diagnosis.
