La información en tiempo de guerra. Un análisis comparativo del tratamiento informativo realizado por los diarios El País (España), Le Monde (Francia), Le Soir (Bélgica) y The New York Times (Estados Unidos), durante el genocidio de Ruanda
Abstract
El genocidio del que fueron víctimas los tutsis de Ruanda en 1994 recibió una respuesta insuficiente por parte de la comunidad internacional. Atendiendo a criterios cuantitativos y cualitativos, este trabajo investiga si la prensa occidental concedió al genocidio de Ruanda un espacio suficiente y si lo contó en sus justos términos como para que la tragedia del pueblo ruandés pasara a formar parte de la agenda pública y de la agenda institucional de los países del Norte.
