La evolución del outsider o inadaptado social en el cine de Tim Burton
Abstract
Desde el comienzo de su carrera cinematográfica, que estableció con el cortometraje Vincent (1982), Tim Burton ha desarrollado historias que tienen como protagonista a un outsider. Este inadaptado social vive en su mundo interior mientras convive, más bien reside, en los lindes de una sociedad ajena a él, que le tolera a distancia. A lo largo de casi treinta años el director de Burbank ha mostrado a este outsidermediante un sello visual muy característico, cercano al expresionismo gótico. Además, la gran mayoría de estas historias han sido enmarcadas dentro del género fantástico. Tanto el género como el estilo visual son excelentes medios formales al servicio de la recreación de estos inadaptados. El trabajo de investigación aborda las características de este personaje outsider y su evolución en el cine de Tim Burton.
