Communicative Administration in Spain: origins of the function of the Government spokesperson

The purpose of this article is to explore a seminal period in the history of the Spanish communication administration: the origins of the institution of the Governmental Spokesperson. Since that early period, the Governmental Spokesperson has become a primary means of communication. The study is the first to examine the role of the Government Spokesperson during the regime of Miguel Primo de Rivera. Since the position was established, what we now know has the Governmental Spokesperson has maintained its importance in every administration, with the exception of the period of the Civil War.
