Tratamiento periodístico de las “células madre” desde la perspectiva del Framing. El País y ABC (1996-2006)
Abstract
La tesis aborda el tratamiento periodístico de las investigaciones con células troncales en El País y ABC desde la teoría del Framing. Se analizan los temas principales, géneros, encuadres, tipos de células troncales, actores y fuentes informativas, así como las argumentaciones a favor y en contra del uso de embriones. Además, se aborda la interrelación de las agendas política, científica y periodística. En esta década, la autorización de investigaciones con células “madre” embrionarias cobra protagonismo político y mediático y se llevan a cabo notables descubrimientos en avances terapéuticos con células troncales adultas que reciben menos atención mediática que las embrionarias.
